Default Danny from Columbus Ohio

Hello everyone i just bought my buddies 96(Canadian)XJR with 150,000 miles. Since he bought it 5 years ago he has done the upper timing chain tensioners and brakes all around and new belts.
I plan on doing a little paint and body work(has a little rust and clear fading). and needs a few other small cosmetic issues. It has an exhaust leak i hope to fix next week. Then i would like to add a pulley and some tuning.

Welcome to the forum, Canadian XJR, 150,000 miles or kilometers?

You will find lots of good help over in the XJR sections, and some decent laughs in the Off Topic's

That 150k mile engine will likely run for a good while yet. The AJ16 was probably the best engine ever made by Jaguar. Of course there will no doubt be a few other jobs to do in and around the car !!

Default Fellow Buckeye

Danny, Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of great guys here with a wealth of information. I grew up in Columbus in the south end by Scioto Downs before there were houses, lots of corn fields then. How about those Buckeyes today? Enjoy your ride! There's a Jag Tech located in Powell, I can't find his name now(I gotta write his name down!), but he would be a good source for any work you're not up to. I have a 99xj8 and love it.
