Smile daveindian... new member, as of Feb 22-2024

Greetings one and all from Okemos, Michigan U.S.A. having just signed up, briefly as my intro., I'm an old fart age 80 and I love cars and motorcycles and, although the Grim Reaper is looking for me, I can still drive a car / ride a motorcycle and chew gum at the same time ! This to some maybe considered as an accomplishment but to others perhaps not but fortunately I have a to try listing of vehicles yet to be satisfied .My love affair with vehicles began in 1956 with a basket case old Whizzer motor bike ( Shwin bicycle frame with an aftermarket Whizzer motor added ) and since that time , vehicle wise , it's been all down hill !

So , my most recent love affair of three years with a Benz SL600 has ended, and now that she has left me for another caretaker / lover to cater to her many whims of fancy and her inherently expensive lifestyle I'm into a new love affair with cats... One of the next vehicles near the top of my to try list was a Jaguar XKR,( supercharged, model years 2000 to 2004 roadster and / or another CBX Honda .. Purely by happenstance while cruising the bay looking for a new love, Lady Luck , her Husband Opportunity and their son Chance decided to smile upon me and without any thought on my part directed me magically to a 2014 Jaguar type F supercharged roadster..HOORAY... Although this particular lady has a somewhat sordid past somehow such women find their way into my loving garage space. As of this writing I'm waiting for her arrival via an interstate car transporting service and she is due to arrive on Monday Feb. 26 ??.

Whenever I buy an experienced vehicle among the very first things I do is to change out all of the filters and fluids ..Hence my plea to this forum for council from wiser heads than mine for guidance and advice about what fluids to buy to best meet this lady's tastes..Trans fluid, power steering , rear differential, power top fluid, engine oil, coolant, and anything fluids wise that I might be missing. Also the Y tube dilemma to be replaced or not to be replaced is also the question ??

I plan on cutting out the hood vents and placing scoops over them to prevent water ingress as I note possible engine damage warnings posted by other forum members. Ans also to increase air flow for cooling the engine bay ?..OUCH

Your any response is most welcome and is sincerely appreciated .My gratitude in advance to all respondents. It's really great having this forum as a help resource ..
