I must be sick in the head as I've just added another British car to the fleet . Hopefully this one will be more sympathetic to my wallet!
I picked up a 98 Vanden Plas last Wednesday for a song. It is in mechanically good shape with a full service history and 100K miles. In the couple hundred miles I've put on it so far it has proven to be a great ride. It is however a 12 year old car and needs a little sorting, primarily a headliner that is beginning to droop and a some bad touch up paint on the drivers side door.
Although this is the first Jag I've owned, my father had a few when I was growing up and they were impressive cars. So much so that I bought him a 66 Mk II to restore several Christmas's ago.
Anyway, picture time:

I have two Brits as well with the LR and the Jag, I think we just are giving people. Usually we're found giving money to parts places and mechanics, but in the end quite giving
I like the license plate on the Lotus, my buddy with a defender has one that says NTAJEEP

@Kwestra:
Yeah, there is no way to have the Lotus as a daily driver. I've had mine 4 years now and put almost 8000 miles on it. Like most supercars, it is very high strung and non trivial to work on - the engine has to come out for scheduled services.
That said, being able to do this makes it all worthwhile
(note the top speed - in kph)
