Dogbreath! in the house!
Ladies and Gents,
I am an antique (though barely) citizen with a distinct penchant for the best legal drug there is - adrenalin. To that end I've had a CTS-V (actually the boss's), a C63 AMG (again hers), a daily driver SLK 55 AMG, and an BMW S1000RR bike. All except the SLK have sufficient amounts of scoot to keep me happy. (Actually the bike is scary fast.)
With that background, I'm thinking about trading the SLK for a V8S. There are couple of used ragtops in Owings Mills, MD that I'm going to look at this weekend. Has anybody here looked at these? One of them has been unsold for decades.
I don't like the new car smell as it exits my wallet so I always buy used and CPO so I've never been burned.
From what I've read these things (while they pull to the right when passing a gas station) are pretty bullet-proof. Looks like they've sorted the radio and fuel filler. Anybody have any tips for a noob, particularly your experience with the soft top and noise, or with that dealer.
Thanks for any help. And suggestions for price are very welcome.
