Hi I am hoping someone might have an answer to my electr seat problem!! I have a pair of front seats of a jag 1995 XJ6 the drivers side works great but the passenger side has a problem with the recline it's stuck in a recline position and won't go back!! Basically it's not good for my partner who complains to much lol. The switch to recline it works ok the switch to in recine dosnt. I have taken the switch out cleaned up contacts and even swapped the whole switch assembly over from the drivers side. Everything works ok except the trying to get it back upright !! Is there a fix for this or even a manual way of getting it back upright !! Ie: mole grips on the bar the motor sits on!!

The way you've written the question makes me ask this. Do you have the rest of the XJ6 or are you using the seats in an alternative application?

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X300 forum for help, advice and information. X300 is the factory model code for the 1995-97 XJ6.

You should add if the seat has previously worked properly and this is a new fault ot if you're troubleshooting an existing fault.

Mole grips sounds a bit extreme! Members with X300's should be able to advise on the motor harness connections to help you to power it back upright.
