Hi all
Just a quick note to say hello. Have viewed the forum now for many months / years. I have owned 2 X-types, both 2nd hand, changed the first one 2.0 petrol manua,l for an auto after 3 years, much better, broke my own rule when I purchased the first one, Allways said since I was a lad, "If ever I have a Jag it must be an auto, hence the change, Auto's are great you just aim them.
Why and X-type, because I'm Mr average and could never afford to buy new or an XJ which the X looks simular to. Love the car, have done several mods all explored first on jaguar forums. many thanks to those who posted "how to"
Sstill wished haynes did a workshop manual, would be much better than JTIS
Finally Live in Shropshire,
50yrs old.

Glad to see you here. The X-type was the first Jag I drove. A good friend picked up a '02 3.0awd, I took it for a spin and it was a very nice european drive. That was a year ago, and it inspired me to take a look at Jaguar when it came time to retire my Caddie. Now I'm sporting a '99 XJR, awesome car!

Happy Motoring.

XJ would be my dream car, twin turbo diesel, it would have to be a few years old and at the right price.
Not sure yet though, my jobs not that secure.
Boss I worked for when I was 17, used to say take the jag for your afternoon deliverys and fill it up for me, he never had to ask twice.

Welcome, rest assured that X Type looks nicer for me and I would own X Type rather than X350 despite XJ's supremacy

Welcome Jafa, simply enjoy your car in your beautiful county (got relatives in Ironbridge).

As you know, you will find great help in the X-Type section.

Cheers,
Richard
