first time jaguar owner
hey folks
so I picked up a 2009 XF (4.2L) Supercharged last week,
I switched to 18 inch jaguar rims with dunlop winter tires today and a few hours later got hit with 5cm of snow.
Im really impressed with this car, and its amazing in the snow and thats without using winter mode.
Im in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I need to get a second key but everywhere I've asked wants 600+ and then the programming, is there an alternative ?

Welcome.
The XF Group will know for your region.
I just got 2 new fobs/keys for the X Type off ?bay for $25 each, and the pairing was a snap, BUT, maybe the XF in your market be different.
"Her" S Type is proving a tad more elusive.
Good luck.

Welcome to the forum Maninder Dhatt,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Smartkeys are expensive and must be programmed to the vehicle using Jaguar Diagnostics. Unlike earlier Jaguar models, this is NOT a DIY job. A Jaguar Dealer will only supply new Smartkeys (they will not reprogram used keys) and program the new and existing keys to the vehicle. You could source a used Smartkey from ebay etc and have an independent with equivalent diagnostics (Jaguar SDD) program it for you.
I can see you've already found your way to the X250 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.
