Hi everyone, it's been a couple years since I sold the '06 XJ8. I so missed having a Cat in the garage that I began looking for another, but this time I decided to go vintage. While at a school reunion in Louisville, I found a '87 XJ6 at the Jaguar dealership that was too nice to leave behind. After 4 months of ownership, I love it more than when I first laid eyes on it. The Series III is the penultimate Jaguar, a classic that you can drive every day.

Not only penultimate, but the quintessential archetype of automotive style and grace; the absolute Pinnacle of design.

But I'm completely open minded on the matter, and have no preconceived notions on the subject.

LOL

Welcome, John, from ElinorB.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I have updated my signature to reflect all the horses in the stable. We have two British cars, a 2010 Range Rover HSE Lux in addition to the XJ6, and appreciate both personalities. It is good to know that the British can still create a car with a soul in this modern, electronic age. While the Japanese and Americans can build a good machine, they are numb for the most part and purely a conveyance to take you from point A to B. We have never named cars before, but this time we did.
