gearbox fault after flat battery

gearbox fault after flat battery
hi out there after putting my 97 xk8 away for winter battery went flat after replacing gearbox fault and traction control lights on ,i have to switch engine off and re start to get in gear help

If the car was garaged for the Winter without being on a battery tender, I'm suprised that's the only fault. These vehicles are very sensitive to battery condition and will throw all kinds of weird electrical faults if it is partially discharged or failing.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
