Good Day Forum
My name is Bob and I hail from Elgin, IL USA. I am a 52 year old car guy and have enjoyed a wide variety of cars and trucks in my life. Some I leave as they are and others I modify the heck out of.
I have never considered myself a Jaguar guy, never even really thought about it. However when a deal comes along that is to good to be true, one must act. So right before Christmas 2014 I found a 2000 XJ8-L with 18's in my driveway-and I could not pass it up, so I told everyone that I had been a good boy this year and Santa gave it to me.
Its silver, with black interior and a beautiful wood grain trim. The rear bumper was shot and a spot of rust the size of a dime on the trunk. And a bit of road rash here there that one would expect on a 15 year old car. So to the body shop she went and a quick stack of hundreds and and now at 5 feet she looks like almost new.
So now "Beast" (named after a character in a vampire hunter book series Jane Yellowrock, a shape shifter woman who changes into a jaguar named Beast) sits in a garage shinny and clean. She joins the rest of the fleet; the 2012 Chevy Cruze Eco-the daily driver; the 1979 Ford F100 side stepper 1/2 on pick up-the haul vehicle; and the 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird WS6 which has been somewhat modified with antra 150 HP to run 12.83 1/4 miles-the race car.
