Default Greetings

Hello all (and especially JimC64, a familiar name from the VW Audi forum!)

Presently an aged VW Passat owner but she's getting tired and I think I might fancy a change; always liked Jags in general (also of an age to remember the police using an XJS as a motorway patrol car many moons ago) and quite tempted by the idea of a X Type estate so thought I'd join up, say hello and see what you've all got to say about them.

The VW Audi forum has been great, some very knowledgeable and helpful guys on there as well as some entertaining and interesting banter - looking forward (hopefully) to similar here.

Cheers
Dave

Welcome to the forum Dave,

Follow Norri's link to the X-Type tech section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Enjoy the forum.

Guys,

Many thanks for the warm welcome, much appreciated. I've already had a good luck around and there's some great information available.

Luckily I'm not in a rush to buy something so will hopefully find a good car (after a 2.0/2.2 diesel estate) that will do me for the next 4/5 years. And I'm reasonably handy with a spanner, don't mind getting my hands dirty, so with the support of you guys on here, would hopefully be able to pick up most jobs myself. Will also be happy to chuck in my 10cents worth every now and then too!

Thanks all,
Dave
