Default Greetings from sunny Scotland

Good day all - greetings from the (not usually very) sunny west coast of Scotland!

I've just become the owner of this X350 XJ8 3.5L (2003):

Just shy of 184k miles on it when I picked it up, felt the interior especially was in surprisingly good condition for that mileage.

Looking forward to taking it past 200,000 miles and beyond.

Thanks all,

ermdev

Welcome to the forums ermdev,

It does look unusually bright. On my visits to the region I've usually needed the wipers more than the sun visors.

With care, Jaguar interiors age well and the only regular problem is the colour rubbing off the driver's seat right hand bolster.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x350-x358-28/ to the X350 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. I can see you've already found both my "guidance" thread and the UK Region forum so no need for any links to them from me.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thanks Graham - much appreciated!

The X350/X358 forum was invaluable for research as a 'lurker' here before taking the plunge and handing over cash for the car, so I'm already indebted to the excellent advice and catalogue of experience recorded there.

I'm sure it won't be too long before I'm troubleshooting something on the car and making good use of those resources again...😆

If you ever have transmission problems or need a fluid flush, you're in the best possible location. Mackie Automatic Transmissions in Glasgow are the best in the country.

Thanks Graham, definitely good to know.

I've heard good things re Prestige Jaguar in Paisley for servicing (I'm happy to try some light DIY maintenance but am definitely not a mechanic by any means) so will likely give them a shout for a full service.
