Hey everybody! I'm new to the forum but I look forward to being a part of this. I've never actually been on any kind of forum before but I've used this one several times to help diagnose and fix problems with my Jag. I have an '03 x-type 2.5 with 115k miles and it's been a good car. It's definitely not without it's issues, especially since the guy I bought it from was super sketchy, but I love it anyway. I look forward to figuring out how to use this forum and learning even more about my car.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Your car is 11 years old and well out of warrantee. You can expect to see a few issues related to age, deferred maintenance and perhaps neglect by a previous owner.
