Smile Hello

My name is Andrew, and I currently live in NC. I have a '64 E-Type, but it's not exactly a complete car. I grew up in CA where my dad bough the car. In 2009, I joined the Marine Corps where I served as sort of a communications guru. I did everything from the phones and computers on one end, to the routing and encrypting, to the satellite. It was great and I was good at what I did, but when I deployed to Afghanistan in 2013, I hurt my back pretty bad. Spinal cord injuries are no joke. I found out months later after I got back to the states that I had a tumor in my spinal cord. It severed the sensory nerves going to the right side of my body from just above my nipple line down, and it was growing. After discussing the risks involved in having surgery to remove it, and a ton of red tape with insurance, I finally had surgery last year. It was filling up my spinal column and cutting off the flow of spinal fluid, so I was in tons of pain all the time. I'm finally starting to get better, but recovery is a long road. Because of this, I can't exactly finish the car myself, but I love classic cars and think Jaguar makes exceptional vehicles. Maybe someday I can see it finished. Who knows, anything could happen.

Welcome to the forum Andrew,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the E-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
