Default Hello!

Brand new member to the forum and pretty new Jaguar owner.

I'm a mediocre mechanic and a mediocre electrician so a 1989 XJ-S seems like a terrible match.
But I bought one anyway because I love love love the way it looks.

I'll probably post in more detail looking for advice, but I recently confirmed the engine is seized.
I have a growing body of evidence to suggest that neither of the previous owners had any idea
what they were doing, so for all I know someone ran it without oil.

My goal is to have a fun and reliable, if not somewhat overpowered, cruiser so I might do a
drive train swap. I know I know, I'm ripping out the heart of a beautiful car, but I'd rather
have it on the road than sitting in my garage. I'd feel differently if the engine didn't seem shot.

Hopefully if I do go through with that, my car parts can contribute to keeping
others on the road too.

Anyway, looking forward to being here and learning through out my adventure .
