Default Hello all

Hey,

I've got a 1995 XJR, straight 6. I've had it for over a year. Got her for £2k. 70k miles. one owner. She needed some work when I got her. All fluids changed, new supercharger belt, rust on arches in a few placed. Tyres. I spent 2 days with her up on a ramp stripping all the rust off the underside of her and painting all the metal, new discs all round. Few other wee things. I'm never selling it so I don't care about spending money on it. I've spent about £2k on her but what a car for £4k! ha ha. The only modification I did was to advance the ignition so she will run better on the 100 octane fuel we get here. It made a big difference. I would say about 40bhp and 5mpg.

I've done about 10k in her. Took her all up to the Scottish highlands last summer. Planning on a 3K road trip round Europe in September. Though I would join to share my experiences with my car and for advice on the wee problems i'm having.

Sure do. F1 sidecar, superkart and just got a FF1600. I like my toys F1 sidecar is by far the most fun, but you get mashed up and lose friends. It takes the fun out of it. Its like a love hate thing......I still love it though. Horse an LCR into a bend at 150 in the wet......you know your alive.
