Default Hello all

I would like to introduce myself . My name is Glyn and for the last two years I have owned a 1997 XK8 COUPE in Carnival Red . Car is generally in good order and is used on "High Days and Holidays" only , not an everyday driver . I live in the county of Shropshire , England , which is in the west and on the border with Wales. I am married with grown up sons and live in the south shropshire hills with my wfe Joy . I am 68 but still in part- time work . I aspire to one day owning an E - Type but that is very much a pipe dream at the moment

Welcome.

Pipe dream sits well, coz they can be a money pit, as any classic of that vintage can be.

Glyn,

I've moved your gearbox question to XK8/XKR forum. Here's the direct link to it:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...97-xk8-171169/

XK8/XKR forum is the place to post technical questions about your model.
