Default Hello all.

I have a 2004 x-type 2.5 liter manual transmission. I bought the car with 82k miles on it for my 40th birthday. I cant say enough good things about the car. Its silver with black leather interior. The car is in near pristine condition in and out, no rust, no dents, interior is flawless minus some of the cheap plastic parts used [ the front windshield vents rattled loose non-stop], and the head liner on the windshield posts had to be re-glued, nothing major at all. I didn't like the stock 16" rims that came with the car and I didn't like the way after market wheels looked with the silver paint job. So after several weeks of searching I landed on a set from the S-type R, 18" Volkan with the silver finish. Since that particular set is staggered with a 9" wide rear and 8" wide front I had to track down 2 full sets and sell off the 9" ones. I found a guy with an XJ who was all to happy to buy them. The car is an absolute joy to drive with the 5 speed, corning on windy roads is so solid and predictable. It does amazing in the snow. So well in fact that I leave my low profile street tires on for a little extra fun in parking lots.
When I bought the car I was aware of the upcoming 100k mark and its maintenance requirements. I have had very few problems with the car. After 4 years the only constant issue is one of the coil packs seems to go out every 3k miles. The car now has 110k miles on it. I have replaced brakes and rotors, ball joints, sway linkage, tie rods, coolant tank, water pump and thermostat, coil packs and plugs, mass air censor, standard maintenance things. The parts were very affordable if you dont go to the dealership. The car has deprecated about as far down as its going to go so I figured using non dealership parts isn't an issue, and I dont plan on ever getting rid of the car, I love it to much.
So aside from the one issue I have posted on the forum the car is wonderful. Currently residing in Indiana.
