Hello All
I'm a newb here, previously involved with another animal brand. I'm here to try to identify this car I have inherited and then decide what I am going to do with it.
I have posted all of the I.D. numbers in a thread here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...54/#post706312

Welcome aboard.
The "BW" indicates Borg Warner transmission, so the gate is open on which car as Norri asked.
The "7F", I am not sure, but somewhere there is a chart of engine prefix codes, I will look when i get a chance.
All in all, an inherited Jag is a bonus in my opinion, and probably well worth keeping.

OK, found the chart.
According to it, 7F is a 4.2ltr from a 420 Jaguar from 1966-1968.
That model also ran a BW35 transmission, so that lines up with the BW you already have.
Awesome classic in anyones book, trust me.
