Hello All- Cincinnati, Ohio/Northern Kentucky!
Hello all-
My name is Peter Svoboda and I am just a sprite in terms of age (I am 21). My father raised me restoring British motorcycles (Norton, BSA, Triumph), and since the age of 15 I have been working on British motorcars. I was trained by Sam Smyth of Sam Smyth Imported Car Service- notable as an Authorized* Independent Bentley Service Workshop. Many motorcars I have worked on were full restorations (MG, Triumph, Austin Healey) but this has also led me to work on every model of post-war Rolls Royce motorcar with the exceptions of the Silver Seraph (I have worked on the Bentley Arnage T), the modern BMW Rolls Royce Phantom, and the limousones. Currently you can find me at Zakiras garage in Cincinnati, Ohio where the dynamic is more oriented towards parts fabrication and complete frame-off restoration. Our specialty here is Miller and Offenhauser engine open-wheel race cars, so my current project is the Miller 'Pleasure Car' or 'Burden Car' for which only one exists in the entire world, a disappointment which is a story unto itself but can be explained by three words- "The Great Depression". This car meaning to compete with the Deusenbergs of the day is truly the worlds first Super-car. You can find a picture of the frame and drive train on my profile which features a twin-cam V16 and four-wheel-drive.
As far as Jaguar goes, I have had experience with the XJ6 in the XJ40 series, the Series II XJ6, the XJ6C in the Series III, and the X300 XJR. Recently I have had some experience with the XK120 as well. I am here to collect future reference in a Binder I am making full of tricks I find on the internet, otherwise typically remain a quiet lurker.
glad to be here!

Welcome to the forum Peter,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I know you're already finding your way around the forums so there's no need for any links from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each of the model forums is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Your notification has brought me back to this site that I have not been on for a long time.
Looking back at this is a little funny.
I have since become a mechanic for SCG in NY, and maintain the collection owned by Jim Glickenhaus.
