Default Hello all Jaguar forum members

I would like to introduce myself with the story why I bougt a 1965 S type LHD.

Why I wanted to own and drive a Jaguar S?
How did I get the jaguar virus?
It's all the fault of my best friend who ownes a 1963 Daimler MKII .
Every time I visited him, he lives in Ireland, I gave him a hand every time a was visiting him with the restauration of his car and that is how I got the J virus.
I found a S type in january 2014 with a partly stripped interieur and chrome. The car was imported from the US in 1965 and exported to the Netherlands in 1999
I wanted to do a bare body restauration and that's why I transported the car to my friend in Ireland in june 2014. Why there you might ask well he has got all the equipment en a lot of knowledge after the resturation of is own Daimler and it gives me the opportunity to visit the Emerald Island, my friend and his family.
At my last visit in October 2014 the car was complet stripped and is ready for sanding and anti corrosion treatment.
I hope to drive her back home in 2018 on a long trip through Ireland and Engeland and to be driven at home at regular bases.

Specifications
Model: 3.8L S-Type
Body Style: 4-Door Saloon
Specification: Left Hand Drive
Build date 28th February 1965
Date Dispatched to USA:?
Date Dispatched to The Netherlands: 7th July 1999
Dutch registration:AE-62-46

Previous owners in The Netherlands
I'am the 5th owner

Previous USA owners
USA: totall of owners unknown to me, one person is known through the DMV Vehicle Registration California form which was included in the cars documents. It was mr. Silfies Randall O / 350 Glen Park Way Brisbane California, date 10 Jun 1997 to 7th july 1998
I am looking for earlier previous American owner(s) of my car. On the B style of the car there is still a service-sticker BMC ( British Motor Cars) at 901 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco.
I contacted the firm but there weren't any track records that old.
I'am wondering if somebody can help me find some previous owners to complete the history of my car.

Welcome to the Forums.

The "J Virus", thats a good one, and NO known cure.

Many on the Forums will relate to that.

Good luck.
