Hello all from ohio here
Hey guys and gals my name is Joe and im a new member here. I have made two post in the stype fourm already sorry for not dropping in and saying hi here first i should know better then that. Im 39 a union drywall finisher that is a stay at home dad right now becasue my wife has a amzing usps job and loves here job and we have a 8 year old that goes to school and needs a driver. So i take her and pick her up and trade some stocks and crypto on my time home. We have 4 wonderful children ranging from 18 to 8. We live in cincinnati ohio right now and we will be moving the Emeral Isle NC in about 5 years so my wife can have her beach home finally.
We are the proud new owners of a 2000 S-Type 4.0 grey with black leather and 139k on the clock and with a fresh triming chain break. I bought the car from a neighbor that let it sit for 18 months becasue she just didnt want to drive it, i talked her into a smooth deal of 500 bucks and was really happy with the car. i got around 500 miles on it before i had a misfire code on number 7 and couldnt figure it out. then when i went to start it the other day the driver side little chain snapped and i turned the car off right away saving any other problems. I got really lucky and had no interference with the piston and valves smashing together. So my little Brother and i are tackling the job and replacing a lot of other things along the way just for good measure.
I love shooting and Rc cars and my kidos are addicted as well my wife and i both are ccw holders and enjoy a good shooting range day. sorry for rambling lol. Im glad i found this fourm and wanted to say thank you to everyopne that reached out with some advice and help from the start its a great community here.
See every one around.

Welcome to the forums Joe,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum with the engine issue so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums and good luck with the engine rebuild.
Graham
