Default Hello! From California!

Hey guys, I know I should have done this for a long long time ago, but here we go.
So, my name is Tom (Or Khoa or Dang), depends on how you wanna call me and I am here to learn/trying to help and/or contribute (But well probably going to ask question much more than helping lol) and to represent my dad (Who is a very old school person at cars).

Our ride (or/referred to as my dad's car or my dad's Jag) is a 2004 Jaguar XJ8 which we bought from a very nice man who didn't ride it much during his 16 years of ownership (34,269 miles at the time of purchase!), and well it has it's cons and it's pros, but mostly pros.

The biggest cons is that even though it might not be driven much, it aged (Sagging headliner which we have to use pins to hold it in place ouch, squeaky belt which we're not sure if it's the idler pulley or the serpentine belt that's causing it but we're going to replace it when Christmas come,...)

The pros? As in personal life/family stuff, It is the family car at the moment (Just came to the States for 9-10 months and well this is the only car we have), it drives my dad and mom to work back and forth and still doesn't miss a beat, it drives all of our stuffs to our new rent and thanks to it's big size, we only have to came back to our old rent maybe 2 times... Mechanically it is the best car we have ever owned, it is quiet (Once the squeaky belt sound stops), the V8 rumbles in a way that I seriously just liked it, very very (I really mean it lol) good on fuel consumption (My dad drove it to work with my mom almost every day and it only have to visit the gas station mostly every 2 week after the last fill)...

There are so many more things I could say about this car (May even take hours!) but maybe another time I guess?

Anyway, I am glad to have found this place, and before I go and say goodbye, here's a pic of our nice little Jaguar!

Welcome to the forums Tom,

That's a beautiful colour and a great shine.

I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
