Hello from Colorado and my first question.
Hi, I just got 2014 XJ (3.0). It was a some deal I couldn't pass by.
I've been a fan of SAAB and Land Rover. Now the SAAB is long gone, I had to find a new sedan brand I need to follow.
As a newbIe in Jaguar world, I am looking forward to getting many of your insights. In fact, I've been finding whole lot of information from this forum.
But there's a one question I couldn't find answer and it's about Jaguar Remote app.
Does anyone know what year's model Jaguar Remote app. started support?
Driving Rover, I am familiar with Land Rover Remote. It helps when it works and it's better than not having it, specially in winter time in Colorado.
I figured I should have similar interface as Land Rover, but when I tried to register, I was led to InControl website, but the site says it doesn't recognize my VIN.
Maybe My 2014 X didn't come with the capability or the Remote app doesn't support that year?
I couldn't find much information about the supported year and model from search. Only thing I found so far in general is that the Remote app isn't really liked much.
Does anyone have this information about supported year and models?

I recall the XJ had a major technology update in 2016 and think InControl could have been introduced then. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x351-53/ to the X351 forum for help, advice and information.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Yes. I also use Land Rover Remote app for for 2016 model. That's probably the first year the app was introduced.
Maybe my next Jaguar will have one available.
