Hi all,
just joined and I gather it’s ‘good form’ to say hello first!

Back in the day my first Jaguar was an ’96 XJ8 and it was the start of my love affair with Jaguars. Had that one for 2 years and it proved faultlessly reliable transport for nearly 60,000 miles, then one day I had her in for service and the dealer lent me an XJR... The dealer’s cunning ruse worked: I fell in love with the supercharged power and within weeks I’d done a trade in for a ’99 model.

Then my circumstances changed and having a luxury car wasn’t necessary for me so I left the Jaguar fold, but I promised myself that one day I’d have another. Fast forward to this year and I decided the time was right to get myself a nice car, the need for a four-door saloon has gone but the love of a supercharger still remained.

So after a few weeks searching I found my perfect car: an XKR convertible. She’s a ’02 model, metallic silver and with just 44,000 miles on the clock.



I’m looking forward to browsing the forum and getting up-to-speed on Growlers, I’ll try not to ask anything that’s been well-covered here already and hopefully in time may even be able to make some meaningful contribution too - I’m an incurable fiddler when it comes to cars!
