Default Hello fello jaguar owners

Names Chris. I have a 2002 jaguar x-type 2.5. After fixing numerous check engine lights to get it through inspection im onto the exhaust. Hit a major roadbock last night when i couldnt get the Y pipe up over the rear differential. I removed the passenger side rear axle, but still no luck. It seems impossible without dropping the rear end. Andy thoughts? Im driving around with it sounding like an old ford tractor at the moment.

Welcome to the forum Chris,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I know you have already found your way to the X-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues. I've also put some further info in your exhaust thread.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US North East Region forum by following this link USA North East - ME NH VT MA RI CT NJ NY PA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Default Fixed!

I posted this in the tech forum, but for reference purposes i ended up cutting off the right (passenger) side of the Y pipe and welding on a 4 inch splice, which allowed enough room to get it up in there. I then just clamped the cut off piece onto the splice and attached the mufflers.
