Hello fellow Jaguar Owners
Hi my name is Paul,
I'm the proud owner of a 2005 Jaguar X-Type Sport.
I purchasedmy Jaguarafter selling a show car I had. Got it'pre-owned' in 2006, it only had 6000 miles on it.
Couldn't pass it up, love the styling and interior.
I've upgraded the stereo by adding a couple 10" woofers. I made a custom enclosure for them. The headunit is factory.
I picked up some chrome Mirror covers, rain guards, and Mina Gallery emblems for the outside.
Looking at getting some 19" wheels next, and changing the exhaust tips to a DTM quad style.
I also put LED lights in the interior, which i was never really a fan of, but they do look great.
I also want to get the Arden pedal covers, and a matching polished shift knob.
The car has puddle lights under it that illuminate ONLY under the side skirts when the car is unlocked.
The idea behind it is that you won't step into a puddle when exiting the vehicle.
In the picture below all four corners are illuminated. (looks kind of immature with underbody lights i know) Theres a hidden defeat switch i put on the inside that controls all this.I can do all four, or just have them function as puddle lights, or turn them off completely. I like the idea of "VIP" styled cars, so i added this feature because it is found on alot of very high end european cars.
Ijust can't resist tinkering with a vehicle. I like doing little custom things to make it unique.

WOW! Thats awesome. Im loving those lights. I dont think they lookimmature at all, theyre functional not just for show. With all the work youve done on it, I know you have lots more pictures. Why dont you post them in the photo gallery. Im interested in seeing what youve done with the interior LEDs. Im considering that for my X. Oh yeah, [sm=welcomesign.gif]to the forum. [sm=smiley36.gif]

RE: Hello fellow Jaguar Owners
sure no problem! i'm sure i'll put some photos in the gallery soon enough. still getting used to this site.
i'll do a write up on the puddle lights too.
queenmb,
if you want to get some LEDs let me know i just bought some, and THEN they send me a coupon for 25% off haha.
EDIT:
i couldnt resist, i just ordered a 10 pack of white LED bulbs. they are the ones that replace the license plate, map lights, lights under dash, and bulbs in the high beam housing. i really only needed two more, but i got 10 lightsincluding shipping for $16.
let me know if you want to change your's and i will sell you my leftovers cheap.
only bad part is i got to wait like a month because theyre being shipped (cheaply) from china.

RE: Hello fellow Jaguar Owners
also forgot to add, i got some other parts for it that arent fitted yet; like neck pads and curtains for the inside, but i don't know if i'll actually put those in. they are more commonly used in japanese VIP styled cars. not sure if it will suitthe jaguar'sstyle.
the best thing i have that is yet to be installed is the roof wing that goes on the back window.
it needs some work to have proper fitment, and i havent decided if i want to do the work, or just pay someone else to handle it for me.
