Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I've recently inherited a 1975 Jaguar XJ6C 4.2 from my Grandfather-in-law. I've been browsing the forums for a while now, preparing myself for what owning this car entails.
The items that need attention, so far, would be some of the typical things like switches on the console, engine oil and rear diff leaks.
Everything else looks great, except for those US spec bumpers. I've checked the spare wheel area and floors for rust and have yet to see any. The exterior looks amazing as does the interior, except for the sagging headliner and disintegrated innards of the sunvisors.
Posted below are some crummy iPhone pics.

Welcome to the forum neinz,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
It sounds like you've already found your way to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Welcome to the forum.
Welcome, Neinz! I envy you and wish I'd inherited a nice XJC! I wish to point out that, as you are also lucky enough to be in California, you are particularly lucky that the Jag is registered as a 1975, the last year model that enjoys smog-exempt status in our state. That means that you can freely modify it, improving upon performance and driveability. Best of luck and enjoyment to you.

You're right Granville, I'm am very lucky that it's a smog test free 1975.
I went through all the records and found out that the car has over 225,000 on it and has had an extensive amount of work done to it. New interior, new paint and a boat load of mechanical work. It's nice knowing that I have a decent baseline to work with.
