Hello from France
Hello everyone I am Matthieu, french owner of a 1999 XJR.
I come here because I'm looking for resources : my X308 is having a strange electrical gremlin since last week and I can't find diagrams to help me pinpoint the issue. It seems this forum has people who are very knowledgeable about those, and maybe once I describe the issue someone may be able to point me to a common failure.
Here are a few pictures of the beast:

Cheers!

Welcome to the forums Matthieu,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the X308 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Thanks for the nice welcome
I think I can say a bit more about myself - earlier when I posted this message I was a bit in a hurry and this issue had me worried. Now thanks to the forum I already have new tools to look for the source of it.
I've always been a car enthusiast, my dad studied to be a mechanic and was for a few years before I was born. He didn't leave the trade completely even if his work doesn't involve working on cars directly, but it allowed me to learn with him and other mechanics we know. I try to learn as much as I can since I love doing my own work on my cars and really wish to understand everything about them, down to the core. Now I'm 30 (it's actually my birthday today) but I did not study to be a mechanic though and instead I am now a mechanical engineer, which only makes me even more eager to know how things work.
Though I am drawn more to certain brands (and especially the "different" stuff), I don't have loyalty to one and love diversity. Currently on top of the XJR I own a 1999 Volvo V70 2.5T (my daily driver), a 1984 Ford Escort XR3i convertible (in the family since 1999 and currently my beloved garage queen), a 1983 Lada Niva (a very fun pile of rust), a 1985 Citroen BX (that my grandfather bought new) plus a currently non-running Ford SIerra 2.0 DOHC (used to be my daily). Not so long ago I also had a 2000 Volvo C70 2.4T manual that I more or less replaced with the Jag. I love them all in their own way.
I bought the Jag 3 years ago in Switzerland, brought it back on a trailer and enjoyed it ever since. I love it, really a great car: comfortable, relaxed but also fast when you want it to be, even around a corner. And it's just a nice place to be, you really feel great sitting there.
