Hello from Muscat, Oman
Hi All.
Hello from sunny Muscat,
I have a 2009 XKR convertible (4.2) that I bought from someone who decided it was too expensive to fix - it has a number of aesthetic issues that I planned to fix.. but now I am dealing mainly with mechanical issues.
First off the convertible top is broken - possibly my fault, as my son kept asking me to put it up / down, and I think I fried one of the regulators. I have a new one to fit (its on my list).
Whilst preparing to fix the roof, the EPB broke, and the car was stuck asking for me to do the brake setup . I drove the car for 2 months with the warning beep going while the part came into stock.
I also need to refurb the wheels - paint peeling.
The soft top is a little worse for wair... and pretty much ALL of the suspension rubber is cracked. I also need to get the dashboard recovered as it is completely dried up.
Also lots of cracked trim inside - dashboard, gear selector etc.
I have changed the plugs, EPB, fixed a vacuum leak (or not), checked supercharger oil, changed the filters, and changed the engine mounts.
I bought it for under 4500 UK - so not expensive.
It has 120K KM on it.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
I'm thinking this car has found the Right Owner (that's how it Really works. The car found YOU not other way round), one who will care for it in the manner it deserves.
