Default Hello New to forum-I have a 1997 Jaguar XK8 Convertible-PLEASE HELP!!

First it is so hard to find parts/info on this car! First question- what is the fuel door locking mechanism called?? Is it the striker or lock cylinder or both? Does anyone know where I can get one? Also, I'm having a hard time on interior/exterior color codes.. My car says ext# JGE- int# NDR? Tried looking that up & can't find anything on that??? My car looks like Sapphire Blue with oatmeal interior seats/console??? Please Help

Welcome to the forum Farrah, head on over to the XK8 section and have a look in the FAQ, it is one of the most comprehensive on the forum and has the info that you are looking for.

If you don't find what you need, post up your question over there, one of the guys will have the answer.

JGE is Sapphire, and NDR is Cream, not oatmeal.

The part on the door itself is the striker (pn HJA3097AD). The mechanism in the body is the 'fuel filler lid latch', (pn HJA3093BE).

Please post further questions in the XK8/XKR forum, and check out the FAQ sticky as Translator suggested. You'll find lots of help there.
