Hello,
Recently purchased a 2004 3.0L A/T X-type with 17,000 miles. Still has the original tires and battery! Very impressed with the car; I love the ride, the handling and of course the luxury features. I moved on from a Volvo S60 which was good but had such a stiff suspension it felt like an earthquake every time I hit a pothole. After searching for some time and looking at everything from a Camry to a Fusion to a Malibu, I couldn't resist this low-mileage X-type. Hoping to get some tips on maintenance since the usual mileage schedule is so far out of line.

Even though your tires might look really good, ten year old tires are very dangerous. I know.
I don't mean to frighten you, but would be in your best interests to get new tires right away as seen in the following post:

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
