Hello from Nottingham UK. '94 X300 Sport 4.0l
Hello all
Been reading the forum for a while and have already found it useful, thankyou. I have a 1995 XJ Sport 4.0l x300, the one featured in this article https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/m...-way-do-150mph (search for 'autocar cheapest way to do 150mph' if the link doesn't work)
After the runway blast it went on a charity run to Nürburgring, did a lap there and back home. Then a family member brought it, give it some TLC, now she (the car
) is in my garage.
Some questions to start with, (which forum to post these in?)
Any recommendations for parts suppliers? Need a thermostat housing suitable for o ring thermoset.
Could do with some internal small items, e.g. sun visor clip, screw covers for door handles etc.
What to do with the loose centre heat vent guides/vanes?
Suspension is a a bit tired, possibly on original bushes. Mileage is 143k. What are SPD bushes like and what shocks are worth considering?
Thankyou
Phil

Welcome to the Forums.
Your beast is known aas teh X300 Series.
XJ6/XJR-6 (X300) is the section you seek.
This is NOT the Tech area, BUT,
AJ16 (yours) has a stat cover Gasket.
AJ6 (XJ40) has the o/ring cover.
Probably interchangeable covers, dunno, never looked into it when both were in my fleet, but I prefer the gasket style.
Good luck
