Hello everyone, My name is Jared. I'm 21 from a small town called Port Macquarie, NSW.

I recently purchased my first Jag, an '88 XJ6 Sovereign in need of some love.
Problems;
Loud squeak on start up (never happens while running)
Slight miss but not constant and definitely overfueling
Anti-lock light on
intermittent engine light on
bulb failure though i've replaced all faulty globes
RH headlight filled with water (probably my bulb failure)
LH headlight cracked
Boot needs new lock and a panel beat
door seals are shot
a few interior pieces i have issues with
needs a brake bleed (hopefully fixes spongyness)

all in all the car drives.. and drives well, has genuine factory alloys with good tread. a 2nd set of factory alloys with centre caps and.. usable.. tyres.
Paint job is flawless besides one spot on the bonnet and interior is immaculate.

Norri has had brain fade.

Your Jag is known as the XJ40 Series, so the XJ40 section is where any answers related specifically to your model will be found.

That list will keep you out of harms way for a while.

The bulb failuer will take years, ours did, and I still blame that for all my Grey hair.

the right hand indicator flashes quickly as if there's a faulty relay so i have to get around to checking that out, i'm hoping it's a quick fix but if not i'll just leave it haha
