HELP a new member out?

I have a 06 Jaguar X-Type and I've lost the key to it. What are my options? Is it possible to get an ignition and key from a different car and go from there? Any info helps and is greatly appreciated. I'm new to the forum but I have came here for info numerous times and decided to join and be a part of the community! Thanks everyone

Sorry to say it's not as straightforward as swapping ignition and key. I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum with this question so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
