Hi everyone, am a lady who loves the look of a nice jag. You may call me Rose. Married to a man that loves his Jag.

I've been checking out the forums for a while now. Reading the posts has helped in the past and i thank you all. My family really love jaguars and our newest is a XJL.
This new baby came without a key. As in no key. We thought we could get a replacement but the one dealership i called quoted almost $600.
i read about getting a key from ebay but i checked out ebay, everything was from china and we need a key soon.
So I'm asking my Dallas-fortworth neighbours out there if they know of any jaguar key specialist/locksmith that is reasonably priced and can create a replacement key for the xjl. Thanks

Hello, Rose,
My Jag is my most important fashion accessory! Even though I'm an unrepentant and incorrigible Tom Boy, this car makes me feel like a Lady!

I'm married to a man who bought me that Fashion Accessory, and even lets me do all the work on it!

I hope you get that key problem resolved.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome. I’ve never though of a car key as a fashion accessory, but in this case I suppose it works. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum Rose,

It came without a key - how did it get there?

You don't give the Model Year but all recent Jaguars have chipped keys which must be programmed to match the vehicle either by the dealer or an independent with similar level diagnostics. Either way, it's going to be expensive but US members in DFW may know of independents who can beat the $600 quote.

No idea on the key, too far away.

Good luck.
