welcome to the forum and Jag family. Are you looking to buy a Jag or have one and if so what model/year so we can guide you to the right area for info? Recommend adding a signature (click the User CP link in the upper left) including model and year.

enjoy

Welcome to the forum Juliesjag69,

Good to have you with us.
There's a couple of tech sections that your can fall in at 1997 so you'll need to give us some more details.
You will find the UK regional area of the forum here UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
Enjoy the forum.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum Juliesjag69,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.

Is the 1997 XJ a late X300 six cylinder or an early X308 V8? Both were marketed in the UK that year.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thanks everyone. Brought a 1997 Jag X300 One owner from new full service history for a grand. Been busy getting some work done on it DIY style where possible, its starting to look good and go even better.

I can see you've found your way to the X300 tech section so there's no need for a link to it now.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in this country.
