Default hi from essex england

hi everyone
bought my 1995 jaguar x300 4.0 in november this is my second jag
my first was an 1989 xj40 3.6 which i had for 5yrs but sadly rust got the better of her and failed mot.
new one has got a few issues o/s/r wheel arch bubbling, bonnet needs respraying summer jobs for me, but apart from that she's lovely to drive and better on fuel than the previous one a lot of car for the money.
been living in a little village in essex england for several years
great to be here thanks

Welcome.

Yes, you do have a serious issue with rust up there. Virtually unheard of where I hang out.

Welcome to the forum redskins1,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

My XJ40 had a replacement boot, bonnet and sunroof within five years from the combined effects of North East England road salt and rain but fortunately the X300's and later seem to have much better pre-treatment and paint.

I can see you've already found your way to the X300 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link UK & Eire - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
