Default Hi everyone!

My interest in Jaguar, can be blamed on my nabor. My nabor has one MGB GT cab, then also bought a Citroen B11 Sport, but never seemed to like it that much and sold it. Then he wanted to buy a Jag Mk ll and we eventually found one that was dismantled, so he bought it. Since I have plenty experience with older cars I have been helping him and reading up on Jag stuff, whereby I began to develop a desire to have my own Jag and went to look at a few that according to the owners were supposed to be in good shape, but on closer inspection were closer to the scrap yard than anything else...

Then I heard from my nabors friends friend, that his friend had a XJ40 in need of some enginerepair, but other than that in very good shape, was for sale at a very good price.
So I went to look at it and bought it right away.

I started by buying a new cranksensor, ignition amplifier, ignition coil and leads, but after a comression test it showd no compression on cyl. 4 & 5.

Parts on its way from Barratt, as I'm writing this.

By joining here I'm hoping to learn more on these beautiful works of art...
