Hi Everyone
I've just purchased a black on black 2004 XJ8 with 148K Km/92K miles in immaculate cosmetic condition on the inside and out and what appears to be in good mechanical condition. I've owned one other Jaguar, a 1970 Series l XJ6 many years ago and have been involved in restoring XK 120's, 150's, E-Types and my Farther once owned a late forties Mk lV. I've also just finished a ground up restoration on a 1971 Spitfire MK lV. A fun car to drive but very primitive compared to the XJ8.
As for looking after the XJ8 I plan on doing as much as I can myself. I live on Northern Vancouver Island, BC. Canada, about, 3 hrs drive from the nearest Jaguar dealer so its not possible to just pop in when I need a service which is where I'm sure these forums will come in handy when I need some help. - Jim

Many if not most of us don't have quick access to a Jaguar dealership. That's where this site comes in handy; we have members who have done just about Everything Jaguar related at least once, some several times. Everyone here is eager to help.
