Default Hi guys

I'm brand new to the forum and happy to join. I have a bronze 1990 Vanden Plas with 35k original miles in excellent condition. I bought it 12 yrs ago with only 12k miles on it from the orig owner. It obviously sat for long periods of time wih little or no usage, so it came with a few associated problems (i.e. corroded electrical connectors, cels, seized brake calipers and etc.), since I got it at such a great price I was up for the challenge of bringing it back up to par. My last big project is fixing the doorlocking sys. I know its probably on this forum somewhere but in order to save time it would be very much appreciated if someone could direct me on how to drain the self-leveling hydraulic sys, I know many of you have converted to shocks but for now I intend to keep the current sys intact. Any help in this regard is very much appreciated otherwise I'm sure I will figure it out. Btw, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all of you Dads out there. Cheers.

Welcome to the forums vandenplas90,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ40 forum with the hydraulic question so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
