Welcome to the forum CANUCK07,

Congratulations on the X-Type. You clearly like your British cars.

Follow Norri's link to the X-Type tech section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top three is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Default Phone set up

Having just purchased my 2007 X Series I am scrambling to get info as the manuals are not with the car. I would really appreciate direction to a site that would allow me to down load manuals. Have tried some of the links from some of the members but the they show as not available or timed out. In particular am trying to find instruction on how to set up my phone unit in Jag is asking for password?

Thanks Guys
Gerry

Did you try the downloads section here, courtesy of Translator? If the info isn't there I'm sure a member will pop up with a suggestion if you post the question in the xtype forum.

Thanks Jay I now have more info than I will ever need. I downloaded the manuals that came with the car and a 2800 page service manual. Gerry

Gerry,

Sounds like you have Jaguar factory fitted Bluetooth?

If so, you'll need further specific setup instructions for your phone from the Jaguar Connectivity Centre:

Jaguar UK - Bluetooth Connectivity

Jaguar always lags behind with telephone and audio technology. The range of compatible phones is limited.
