Default Hi I'm new to jags, but not having a good start.

Hi just bought a xkr 2004 convertible but I'm having what I hope turn out to be a few teething problems, which can be sorted with your help. It's only covered 14k miles so wasn't expecting to get greasy so soon!
Thanks in advance Steve.

Welcome to the forum Steve,

Sorry to hear you're having a bad introduction to Jaguar ownership.

Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the UK Region by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Hi Steve,
Welcome to the forum. When you get chance, post your problems, I'm sure there will be someone with useful advice on how to get things sorted.

You should also look at the "how to" section in the XK8 section, I have found it to be a source of invaluable information.

Good luck and enjoy the car and the forum.

Thanks for the welcome. I have tested the battery which seems to be ok. I was assured when I purchased the vehicle that it was new, but still was worth the test as you can't believe everyone! I have now removed the radar unit and I'm sending it away for test and repair if necessary. I should get it back at the end of next week and know if its cured it or if I need to keep searching for the fault. Thanks Steve.

Welcome to the forum, Steve...hehe..that's like marrying a supermodel and saying you weren't expecting to have to pay hair, mani, pedi, and makeup bills so soon! (and medical in certain cases)
Lots of good help here....those guys over in the XK section will help you sort it in quick fashion

Hi, just an update. BBA Reman can't repair the module. I'm now on the hunt for second hand, I think it could take some time to find from what I've read. Regards Steve.
