LnrB = Elinor B.
I just got here yesterday. I see some very familiar names/handles on lists I've already scanned. That's great!
My car is 1976 Xj6 Series II with many cosmetic upgrades to Series III. I can't take credit for anything originally done to this car, I only took possession September 20, 2013.
I spent the Winter repairing a lengthy list (77) of items suffering from abuse, neglect, maladjustment and/or deferred maintenance. In these past months I have become intimately familiar with this car in a way I know no other car I ever owned.
Soon after Nix (that's her name) came to live with us one of her younger cousins was relegated to a local wrecking yard where I stripped it. I took all the climate control bits I could, including both heater fans (mine made noise). In that process I learned how these cars are assembled and how they come apart without damaging my own. By now it's completely road worthy and comfortable.
I first came to this part of the world on a trip with my parents and discovered almost immediately that I was always a California girl, I was just born in the wrong place. I set out to rectify that situation and succeeded. I'll be staying.
