Default Hi from a New Member from Holland.

Here's my Jaguar history; I bought by first Jag (a 1963 Mk2) in 1980 when I was still a student at the local Polytechnic. It was a real basket case but I figured I could restore it in 2-3 years. It took 21 years. A Triumph Stag and an XJ 4.2 Series 1 came and went; both were rolling restorations. I sold the (by then perfect) Mk2 and bought a Jensen Intercepter Convertible, another rolling restoration, which I still own today.
In 2009 I won an Ebay UK auction for a LHD 2004 dark green XJR which is my first modern car really. I loved it from the start and am currently sorting out a few minor issues like a weak heater and noisy aircon.

Forums like this are a great help to keep down the cost of ownership so I hope I'll be able to share my knowledge or gain from your experiences with this great car.

Cheers,

Eric

Welcome to this friendly Forum, Eric and good luck with your fixes.
Never liked the Stag but had fun with a Dolomite Sprint.
I envy your Interceptor.

Thanks, yes the Stag was far from perfect but it's in my opinion one of the best sounding V8s ever.
I'll stick with the Jensen though, esp. after my 5-speed conversion..

Cheers,

Eric
