Default Hi - will my Jaguar be as reliable as an Alfa Romeo?!

Hi everyone. I've bought my first Jaguar, a 2011 XF 3.0 V6 diesel Luxury, after about 10 years of owning, running and loving Alfa Romeos. Contrary to their reputation, they were generally solid, reliable cars, but they all had their 'foibles', so I joined a couple of on-line forums. These forums were invaluable in helping with the diagnosis of problems and indicating when to attempt to do things myself (stiff clutch) and when to book the car in to my local specialist (replace broken door handle). Yes, those are genuine examples.

So I've joined this forum for more of the same, hopefully. More advice and support I mean, and hopefully not more foibles or problems. But please feel free to take the mick out of Alfas and Alfa drivers, I'm used to it!

Hello,
Every brand has their own distinctive "foibles or problems," even the soulless Toyota or Nissan.
Jaguars "foibles and problems" however, only add to the already sparkling personality that makes owners fall in love with these cars.
But you've come to the right place for help, support and guidance with your new Jaguar.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the Forums.

All of mine were/are reliable, and those that were not initially, had issues created by the previous "fiddlers", not the Manufacturer.

Good luck.
