Default Hi from Worcestershire.

Hi guys.

Not got a Jag yet but seriously looking! Currently own a E39 BMW but the old car is coming to the end of its usefull life and would love to replace it with a XK8 OR XKR. Probably a 2003 to a 2006 model. So any advice would be welcomed.

I look forward to many interesting chats in the future.

Thanks!

Frank C

Welcome to the forum Frank,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.

I know you've already found your way to the right section for help, advice and information on the XK8/XKR so no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Good luck finding the right XK8 for you. Enjoy the forums.

Thanks guys.

I am looking forward to many happy hours of chats. I am a keen member of a BMW forum so I know first hand how usefull these forums can be.

All I need now is a Jag! But going to wait till just the right one comes along. With a bit, or rather a lot, of reading I should now know what is a "right" one. I read in one of the topics of a check list for new buyers of xk8's never found it though..........

Anyone living in the Worcester area with a xk8 or xkR would appreciate a chat and a look. May even buy you a pint

Thanks again.

Frank,

This is an excellent guide to the buying an XK8:

Title: Jaguar XK8 & XKR, 1996-2005 (Essential Buyer's Guide Series)
Author: Nigel Thorley
ISBN-13: 978-1845843595

Here's a link to it on Amazon UK:

Jaguar XK8 & XKR, 1996-2005 Essential Buyer's Guide Series: Amazon.co.uk: Nigel Thorley: Books Jaguar XK8 & XKR, 1996-2005 Essential Buyer's Guide Series: Amazon.co.uk: Nigel Thorley: Books

Look out for posts from member dennisw in Solihull with an XK8. He's less than 40 miles from you.

Graham
