Smile Honored to be here - proud XK owner and GT lover

Hi all! Thank you for having me and taking the time to read my post.
I'm the proud owner of a beautiful 2007 XK that I've worked on restoring to almost factory condition. Why I went for a 2007 and not a 2010 or 2012 will be the topic of future discussions on other sections of this forum.
Always been a fan of Grand Tourer cars due to their perfect combination of sporty performance, luxury, and beauty. I believe in the 80-20 rule (20% effort gets you first 80% of results, and 80% of effort gets you the last 20% of results) and feel that the sacrifice to get that last 20% of performance in pure sports cars is a massive sacrifice of 80% luxury, which comes in ride height reduction, suspension stiffening and the removal of many luxury features in the name of weight saving and getting an extra 0.2s of performance.

My dream cars have always been either a Jaguar XK or an Aston Martin DB, brands which I genuinely love equally. I find it surprising that Jaguar does not currently produce a GT car, as I feel just like Aston Martin a GT embodies that the brand stands for first and foremost, performance luxury.

I hope to both learn from and contribute to this community. Thank you very much.
