I am NEWBIE
Hello all!! Newbie here... WASH DC area. I am a retired military guy who works for the Navy on the new Carrier program. I bought a 2011 JAG XK a few years ago and just love it.... but now all the issues. I have had the Christmas Tree Lights situation happen and took it to a local JAG Dealership and they quoted $7200 to repair (replace this and that modules)… not happening. I took it to a jag repair shop (topline Jag) and they fixed the issue (a ground) at a much lower cost. Now, its happening again..... Break Fault, ABS, Check engine, Tire Pressure, Gearbox, etc... sometimes all, sometimes just a few, random... I was told this could be the result of a low better output, a CAM network issue, the ABS module, or a simple resistance issue from humidity/dirty connections.....
Where do I turn or is it time to trade in for a more modern JAG....

Welcome to the Forums.
We hear this odd ball event from time to time, and the actual battery is the culprit.
These, and all, modern cars, are "juice hungry", and also rely on stable juice, and a partially failing battery can reek havoc. It may test fine, but under the cars load and demand, it just cant cut it.
If the battery is of unknown age, I reckon a new battery just might sort it.
Good luck.

Hello, Kelly,
2011 isn't really "old" for a car these days, especially if there's a more economical fix than buying a new one.
Someone will be along shortly to direct you to the correct section where you can get FREE help for those lights.

Welcome to the forums Kelly,
I agree with Grant (post #2) - a partially discharged or failing battery is the number one culprit for weird electrical phenomena on modern Jaguars. Most of us keep them on a tender when garaged.
