Default Intro

Hello, I am a kitchen designer/builder in British Columbia and when at an auction for woodworking equipment ended up bidding on a 2000 S Type someone had put in the auction. 6 months later I own 2 additional S Types (2002 and 2003). The 2000 was abused and I've spent the winter buying body parts on EBay and fresh mechanical parts to replace those with 300,000 km on them. It should be ready to roll when the snow melts. None of the cars have any rust and the 2002 and 2003 are immaculate bodywise but need some repairs. The 2003 needs some minor maintenance (all are getting transmission fluid and filter changes, spark plugs, belts, oil changes) but the 2002 has no communication with the PCM so I pulled it out, checked for burnt smell/visible burnt parts and it looked clean. Now I have the front bumper off and am looking over the wiring. Nothing obvious for damage, but the passenger front clearance light emits a faint glow all the time and the bulb housing is brown from the heat although it's an LED bulb. Next, I'll go over the grounds and then open up the cowl again and check for power to the PCM. Hopefully I find the solution soon. My wife is calling herself a Jag widow. No local Jag dealer so it could be painful if I need a reflash (I'll need to tow it 700km each way). I looked into getting the mongoose but I would need to apply for locksmith security certification to be able to access the pcm and Jaguar won't allow the 1 day access at $80, but 1 year access only at about $2500.

Just polished the fuse and relay contacts in the engine compartment and gained access to the PCM. Looks like "Night Storm" is ready to join "Sweet Pea" and "Quick Silver" !
